What I do.

I write a blog, and also, I write books. I sell my books and use the money to support the blog (yep, blogs cost money to run), and promote my cancer coaching service. I charge for my cancer coaching and put that money back into programs, marketing and ordering more books. I drive to support groups and speak to folks with cancer, and while I’m there I’ll maybe sell a few of my books.

(I have been known to use the royalties I get from Amazon for selling my books for personal use, like buying more books on Amazon, or putting gas in my car, that kind of thing.)

I’m planning on travelling more this year, writing more and publishing at least three more books, one of which will be my cancer memoir. I’d also like to take my Survivorship Program (which I’m still developing) on the road. I don’t have an agent, publicist or publisher. It’s not a personal objection to representation, by the way – I would very much like one of each please, and thank you. But even though I’d love to have a publisher and a publicity machine behind me, I don’t want to spend hours of my time pitching my work to publishers or agents. I’ve decided to focus on writing, coaching and speaking, and developing my programs to help more folks with cancer and their families.
