Any man who can’t consider the issues pertaining to gender based vilification of women without relating it to female members of his own family doesn’t get it.A male perspective that can’t see women except through the lens of patriarchy isn’t a perspective at all. It’s patronisation.We don’t want to be considered as wives, mothers and daughters. We want to be acknowledged as human beings who happen to identify as women.
